Clockwork Orange - The "Korova Milk Bar


the Korova Milk Bar is the bar of film and novel Clockwork Orange Anthony Burgess of where Alex (the protagonist) and his droogs (friends) used to spend the evening before some wild night. Korova The term means in Russian "cow."
The bar serves "more milk", milk that is supplemented with drugs. At first the protagonist of the book provides an extensive list of drugs that a regular visitor to the Korova may need to add to his milk are mentioned in the Vellocet ( LSD), the synthemesc ( mescaline) and drencom ( adrenochrome ), another of the ways mentioned to drink milk is "with knives" (which term probably refers to amphetamines ).
